Loved seeing the owls and exhibits

So educational and the wee owls were obviously well cared for! We enjoyed the exhibits and getting to see all the adorable owls.

The centre was free, with donations appreciated. There was a small museum about the burrowing owls, and then the owls to see beyond that. It was not the easiest building to spot, but is opposite the carpark from the event centre.

Run by VERY DEDICATED people. One woman full time is here 7 days a week and is on permanent staff - 2 others are on summer grants. This is run on a shoe string budget and they do an amazing job of caring for these little creatures as well as doing great educational work with school kids and preschoolers. This... More

Thank you so much for the wonderful review on the Trip Advisor website. It means a lot to our staff to know that our visitors go away with a better knowledge of the struggles that the wild population of owls face, as well as the struggles that the Centre faces daily as we do our best to promote and protect... Nice poster displays to explain about the animals and their habitats. The cages allowed you to see everyone except the short-eared owl, who was hiding. They are doing really important work, and need visitors' donations.

Small interpretive centre with very knowledgeable staff. Several owls to see in outside area. Inside was a very cute goffer, a very large friendly dog and one more owl. They even had cute owl puppets for sale.

We enjoyed our time at the centre although it was a little hard to find. It's in the festival grounds just a couple blockd frombthe unformstion centre. For a small operation they put a lot of work into maintaining and supporting the owls. We met S'more the current flicker tail mascot. Alas the wolf hound was off duty for the... More

Children and anyone interested in birds or conservation should visit. They admit by donation, please be generous. This owl species is in big trouble. I learned a lot about the burrowing owls. Most of them were out during the day. The lady told us all about the centre and there is an interesting interpretive area. They have a natural prairie... More

Enjoyed learning about the owls and the opportunity to see them up close. Delighted by the pet gopher and Irish wolfhound! The place is tricky to find, you take an access road off Thatcher drive, it's not very visible from the road. By donation.

This was a little hard to find at first, but it was a great little attraction. I would strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys nature and wildlife. It is small but very interesting. We will be going back in the future.

Maintained by the City ,this is an excellent place for a family visit but a little hard to find. I'ts very near Supervalue. Do use the services of a guide. Ours was excellent. We learned so much about the burrowing owls that were delightful creatures
