During the winter months they set up an ice skating rink right in front of this fort. Having the city lights at night light up the walls make it seem like the perfect accent to ice skating.

The fortifications are fascinating throughout the city as we see just how protected the city was. They are constantly renovating different areas, but it is worth seeing and then learning more about this historic city.

It is interesting to walk along the old city fortifications. When I was there some of the fortifications were closed as they appeared to be doing renovations. Interesting to check out.

We took a carriage ride through QBC during light snow flurries and got a first hand look at an already beautiful city in a completely different way!
