Visited during Christmas season and the City Hall was decked out in a beautiful and tasteful light display. There was an incredibly good craft market in the square featuring a wide array of food and hand-made articles. Terrific old world Quebec charm and atmosphere. Not to be missed at Christmas.

The building is beautiful but the square is worth mentioning. The most amazing plaza currently decked out in it's fall colours. From planters of kale, pumpkins and hay to the burning leaves on the maple trees. While we were visiting, there was a provincial cultural day occurring. Everyone was welcomed. The event was named Culture and Crunch Day. In the... More

This is a well kept square, all prepared for halloween with straw men and pumpkins when I visited. An area was set up with lunch tables and chairs, probably catering for the office workers lunch breaks. From atop Rue St Anne, this square somehow made the view of the City Hall prettier.

This isn't a review of Quebec City Hall (we could care less) but of the plaza overlooking it, which turned out to be a perfect place to eat our sandwiches and watch the changing fountain display, which is lovely. Even lovelier was the opportunity to watch kids of all ages run, dodge, and otherwise engage with the fountains. Vacation bliss!

There's nothing special about this square, other than the City Hall on the west side. There are many more interesting things to see in the Old City.

Nice square, nice building, nothing going on. There were some small shops on the sides of the square.

A majestic building in the heart of Old Quebec. Very nice to look at and very easy to find, next to a cute little square from which the building can be admired.
