Of course, if you like modern architecture, this is a great place to visit, but the exhibits were really also top notch. It's a very child friendly museum, the exhibits (both permanent and temporary) were wonderful, and the cafe and gift shop are both not to be missed. It's one of those places thatyou might not ordinarily include on your... More

Our visit to the museum turned out to be the highlight of our day. My husband and I decided to stop into the museum. We got there a bit later in the afternoon, therefore we rushed to make it to the guided tour "This is Our Story" on the history of the aboriginal cultures in Quebec, only to find out... More

Arrived looking for refuge from rain & happily stayed 6 hours. Highlight was 25 Revolutions documentary film exhibit although thoroughly enjoyed the rest especially Cats & Dogs and the basic history of Quebec exhibit. Not overwhelmed by First Nations exhibit-- audio stations didn't work so well & somewhere to sit while listening would help. Cafe expensive & limited choices but... More

The museum greatly exceeded my expectations. It is not a big one, but the exhibitions are extremely well done: very informative, interactive, modern. There are two permanent exhibitions, one about the history of Quebec and one about the First People - one should plan to spend at least 1 hour per each. Temporary exhibitions looked quite interesting too, but unfortunately... More

The museum was not high on our list of things to do, but when it rained it shot to the top of the list. I am glad it rained because we had a wonderful time at the museum, particularly with the interactive exhibits. We spent almost five hours here and did not see it all. The exhibit of aboriginal Australian... More

We spent a rainy morning here. The museum featured exhibits on cats and dogs, the five senses, First Peoples, and more, all of which my nine-year-old enjoyed. She also enjoyed the costume area in which children and adults dress as fairy tale characters and engage in fun activities. A nice, family-oriented place.

While in the exhibit about Quebec City, I wanted to come home and recommend to one of our museums that we have something similar - photographs and mementoes of a relatively recent past; things that those who grew up in the area would remember, but that are gone now. Although the main film that shows in that exhibit was too... More

Love the Guided Tour, Guide was knowledgeable and knows how to take everyone with him... Nice narration and brief... Don't miss it. There is 4 parts, you have to visit all of them.... Starts with history, Technology, Science, Religon and more and more... Worth spending time.....

We really enjoyed the museum. It was good for a rainy day and very interesting. I could have stayed longer but we started late. Give yourself plenty of time.
