A place with a Great Inner Atrium, with a Fountain surrounded by Shops , Restos, Office Towers (Revenu Quebec, Caisse Desjardins HQ). The underground resto mall has Variety and is quite inexpensive..from Thai, to Subway to Italian..the place lacks a Cinema ..that's all..there used to be one here..Place des Arts also is adjacent to the Metro of this Name and... Plenty of eating choices and a very good supermarket. Good atmosphere, very clean and quiet. Linked to underground city.

This grocery store is amazing! They also have a catering section and can make all kinds of platters that can be delivered to your hotel (except Sundays). we purchased groceries for our hotel rooms and ordered catering trays for a family reunion. Service was excellent.

Complexe Desjardins is a shopping mall that is part of the underground city! It's a good choice for lunch on rainy days!

There are way better shopping malls than Complexe Desjardins. The design is pretty nice, but I was really disappointed in the array of shops and restaurants. The food court is adequate, but the actual restaurants attached to the mall are nothing to write home about. The stores are all the same and sell the same cheap and poorly made clothing... More

The food court was great, a lot to choose from. There are a few shops, which I liked. There is even an IGA grocery store, which is very different than the one I am used to. You can find everything in this mall. Oh, and the fountain is great.

Nice stop after a long walk down Rue St. Catherine. Pretty interior with great food court. Try to Greek restaurant...friendly staff and excellent food. There's also a nice market, IGA at one end.

This shopping center was very nicely designed with a beautiful open foyer spanning multiple floors (see picture). Fair amount of shops but also connected into many of the restaurants on the nearby streets so it's perfect for a rainy day! Shops close early but center stays open late so can still be used as a pass through if you don't... More

If you're looking for peace and calm in an air conditioned environment this is for you. There are many interesting places to eat and its kid friendly. I highly recommend if you're looking to escape the crowds and craziness.

There is nothing more fun than running into a festival full of happy people near the complexe dejardins and if you wanna have the best ice cream ever try chocolates Favoris.😀

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
