I have visited Bota Bota multiple times and one of the big attractions for me is its fabulous location in Old Montreal, particularly at night when the lights are sparkling and one can lie back in one of its many pools and tubs and enjoy with friends. Particularly in the winter when the snow is falling, it is quite magical.... More

Got a massage and a hot/cold/rest circuit soak. This is a boat on the river with hot tubs outside. The massage was great and the soak experience was surreal. Recommended!

The service at this spa was phenomenal, all treatments were top notch. Even with that being said, the facilities are incredible. Such a unique attraction both visually and physically. A true spa of spas. I would recommend getting the aquatic add on pass if you are going for just a massage, we made a relaxing day of it. Once you... More

Dear "Pete_from_Miami", Thank you so much for taking the time to write this kind review! I agree that to get a better experience of what Bota Bota is about, the water circuit should always be added to the treatments. Hot-Cold-Relaxation : the best recipe either before or after a massage to enjoy it's benefits to the fullest! We hope you... More

Thankfully my massage was very good cause other than that, didn't enjoy the environment. We went in November, it was NIPPY inside the spa. It was very crowded. I say visit here on a less crowed HOT day so you can enjoy the outdoor space.

Dear Kimberly, Thank you for taking the time to write your review. I'm sorry to read that you did not enjoy the environment. With the facilities on the ship (2 jacuzzis, 2 saunas, 1 steam room, 2 cold plunges, many relaxation areas and a restaurant) and the facilities in the Gardens (a pool, a jacuzzi, a cold plunge, a sauna,... The setting of this spa blew me away. My wife and I did the massage combined with a 3 hr water circuit while vacationing for a long weekend. I wouldn't consider myself a spa connoisseur or anything, but this was top notch all around. The staff was great, the environment was relaxing and clean, and the setting --being on an... More

Bota Bota is a spa on a barge in Montreal Harbour, adjacent to Old Montreal. There are multiple pools of various temperatures, all outdoors, plus lots of indoor massage and café facilities. The friendly staff and super-clean site, reasonable price and unbeatable views make it a real Montreal experience, not to be missed. We watched a large container ship passing... More

Let's get down to the numbers: 2 massages and a 3-hour access to the spa for 2 people: $325, that's kind of expensive. But the place was full! The concept if very cool, a city spa on a floating boat. The location is very good (in the old port) and the views are nice. You have a lot of spa... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
