This was by far one of the best spas I have ever been to. The location was so unique compared to most spas. On the boat you feel as if you have left all your troubles behind into this relaxing state of mind! Even though English was our first language, the staff was more than helpful with any questions we... More

Dear "nickyo21", Thank you so much for your very kind review! You are right that Bota Bota is unique, being on an old ferry, with exceptional views on the St.Lawrence River, on the old grain silo and on Old Montreal. It's also amazing to see how much the scenery changes depending on the time of day or on the time... More

Had a great time at Bota Bota this past weekend with my girlfriend. We opted for a couples massage followed by the 3 hour 'water circuit'. The location and set up of the facilities are excellent and the staff are really polite. The massages we received were very good and although it was a busy day (valentines weekend), I never... More

Dear Ronan, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your Bota Bota experience with the TripAdvisor community. Bota Bota very seldomly feels overcrowded, given how vast our facilities are. With the 5 floors of the spa and the Gardens section, even on the busiest day, there is always a quiet little corner to explore! I take note... More

First visit to Bota Bota. I was at first a bit intimidated what with having to walk from a parking lot quite a distance away over mounds of hard, crusted snow and ice. But, aaaaaaaaaaaah, all the stress of that minor inconvenience melted away once inside the spa. The scent, the ambiance, the delectable food and wine, the staff, the... More

Magic view, beautiful place, everything super clean, nice staff. My husband and I went as a present for our honeymoon! Wow! What we need after the wedding! We did the circuit water witch it included sauna, steam rooms, Jacuzzi and cool water pools and some lounges for staining around the boat.

This is clearly a very busy and popular place. and was quite crowded on a late Sunday afternoon. There were 6 of us (women) there for 1 hour massages. (4 at 4:45 and 2 at 5:30). I found check in to be rather laborious and not particularly well organized (but i would imagine that the staff was rather tired at... More

My wife and I went just before New Years. All the different spa options made for a fun and relaxing experience. It was particularly enjoyable to be outside in the spas in the middle of winter. Make sure to take a dip in the cold bath too.

Dear Joshua, Thank you very much for your kind words! I can only emphasize on the importance of the cold bath! To enjoy the full benefits of thermal therapy, it is very important to follow the water circuit’s clearly defined steps : - Hot (10 to 15 minutes) : sauna or steam room - Cold (a few seconds) : cold... We had a very relaxing afternoon enjoying the pools and a couples massage. The massage was excellent. It was wonderful to enjoy the various hot tubs in the winter overlooking the old city. We forgot to pack flip flops and it would've been nice if these were included in the package. Overall, it was a wonderful afternoon!

Well, this place is AMAZING!!! The location is great. Right in Old Port, so while you do the baths, and relax in the jacuzzi or take a drink on the <boat> you have the beautiful Old Port as a backdrop. The outside pool is SOOOOO nice! Lots of ambiance. My fiancée and I spent a long weekend in Montreal and had heard about Bota Bota as a special experience for an afternoon. We decided to try it out, and were not at all disappointed. Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
