Just returned from our 800km bike trip Montreal to Quebec City via eastern townships and back via North side of Saint Lawrence. We rented 4 Cannondale bikes complete with paniers. Bikes were perfect for handling the route Verte (varied from gravel to asphalt). We were supplied with tools, spare tubes, pumps and locks. The bikes were ready upon arrival and... More

Very fair price and great way to cover a lot of ground in the city. The bikes were in great condition and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend doing this when you go to Montreal.

If like us, you were wondering what to do on an afternoon, this is a perfect attraction. Riding good bikes on flat terrain is easy and absolutely pleasant. You would feel like the distance is scarry but it is really done easily without any suffering. After getting your bikes, head west towards the end of the canal. You will see... More

We walked from downtown to the bike rental. A good walk but if you are planning to ride the bicycles, you should be able to do it. (Stop at At Water market for food for a picnic) The young woman renting the bikes was very helpful and good at her job. We rented 4 bikes, helmets, saddle bags and chains... More

After calling numerous shops, we finally found this shop with proper road bikes. They had top-of-the line carbon fiber Cannondale road bikes, which they fitted to our needs when we got there. They also offered an extensive bike map with plenty of routes on bike trails around Montreal. The staff were kind and honest and offered us their best deal.... More

With my mother and sister , MA BICYCLETTE offered us a great price and bikes for all the day. If you are going to rent a bike I would recommend you this bike rental . But if you would rent it for more than three day I will recomend you to buy a bike in Canada Tire .

I work very near this place so every time I had a problem with the bike I was going there to check. My first impression was ok, a polite guy attended me but all the other times there are only rude and money-driven people working there. The service is pretty bad quality because they do the service very fast to... More

We rented bikes for the afternoon. I've ridden a few bikes in my life. These were really good ones. Service was great. Ride was great. The lady at the counter graciously counted our two hour 45 minute ride as 2.5 hours. Would not hesitate to recommend. These are great bikes at a great price.

For my annual Father’s Day bike tour with my daughter I once again rented a hybrid bike from Montreal’s Ma Bicyclette, with the usual great results. As soon as we arrived, co-founder Stephanie Thompson fixed me up with one of their high quality hybrid bikes. In addition to the bike, the rental included: a helmet, a lock, and a clip-on... More

Great bike rental/repair shop. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and quality bikes for rent to enjoy your day cruising the canal or the city. They have carbon road bikes for the avid cyclists, but they also have a couple of family bikes where you can put the kids on the back rack attachment fully secured with side guards and foot rests. Kids... More

Staying in Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Sud-Ouest (Southwest District)
Once the core of industrialised Montreal, the factories and historic buildings of Le Sud-Ouest have been renovated into homes, museums, and small businesses. The rejuvenated landscape has put its Saint-Henri district in vogue, with cutting-edge galleries and an ever-expanding network of restaurants. Foodies can especially delight in the mom-and-pop shops in Little Burgundy, or at the Atwater Market, where outdoor stalls sell fresh fruit, vegetables, and meat, street vendors have menus of hot fish and wine, and the indoor market offers chocolate, breads, and coffee beans. Dominated by the gentle waters of the Lachine Canal, Le Sud-Ouest is still very much an outdoor town, with a number of pedestrian-only bridges traversing the waters, bike paths along the canal with views of the Leisure Boats, and massive green spaces like Angrignon Park to stop for a picnic, or to play a sport.
