McGill is one of the many universities in Montreal, and one of the few that offer courses in English. The campus is not only historical, but amazing. Walk through the many 1700's or 1800's buildings and you step into history.

There was construction all over the city when we were there, McGill being no exception. We went up for a concert (most are free). The student at the information desk was very helpful. If it hadn't been a little cold and rainy the next day,...More

If you have not walked around the campus of McGill than you are missing out. It is simply beautiful along with being a friendly place. Major research is conducted at this leading University. Go on a snowy or sunny day either way you will enjoy!

If you're driving, you should probably avoid this area entirely. Walking through wasn't easy either. Campus has some pretty buildings, kind of castle like.

McGill University is a beautiful campus to sit and enjoy on a beautiful spring day; but the real treat of the day was the stamp collection located on the first and forth floor of the library. We were lucky enough to happen upon Davin Lank...More

A nice walking tour for a Sunday afternoon. We even went into a few buildings to see studious young folk taking in all of the university experience. Very nice campus with stately buildings.

Not a student. But drove up to meet my sister that was flying in from Paris to give a speach. We both stayed at the queens college building. Owned by McGill, it was a hotel. Dorm style rooms. Ultra cheap, no frills. But RIGHT IN...More

A beautiful campus. We had two silly girls as our campus tour guides, however they were kind, maybe not as knowledgeable as the other McGill guides. There are no tours on the weekends, and the 1st tour for us didn't start until 12:45 pm.

What I most enjoyed about McGill University was the big green off of Sherbrooke--usually filled with students either rushing to class or lounging in between classes.

By chance we found a paper advertising concerts in Montreal. We were able to attend a a concert given by their Baroque student orchestra and singers. It was amazing and very inexpensive. The University webpage can lead you to a list of the concerts during...More

I noticed a Metro entrance/exit on Rue Catherine and from there it would be about a five block walk. I would suggest downloading a metro map from Montreal's transportation site.
