I've been to Montreal probably 50 times in my 46 years of existence and each and every time I am surprised by a new experience. This is the reason that I continually go back twice a year and I recommend that you do too.

This is one of the grand old streets of Montreal, with a variety of architecture. Years ago, there were even more Victorian buildings. The stretch between Westmount and downtown is very rewarding, but so is the area to the east, with more old buildings, and...More

Nice and (seemingly) safe part of town to stay in. Streets are clean, it's pretty quiet, with lots of nice architecture. Easy walking distance to many major attractions or metro stations.

We stayed at the Sofitel on this street. Excellent location for your hotel. Walking distance to everything. Several metro stations nearby. Tons of restaurants and shopping. Only 2 blocks to St. Catherine's street. Highly recommend for your home base.

Good street for architecture and art fans. You'll find Concordia University, nice views of the Mont, Museum of Fine Arts, churches. Near the MMFA area, lots of restaurants around the corner. Good place to explore Montreal Underground if it rains!

Most of this rue is under construction or badly needing repaving. There are many row houses from different periods, many well kept, many not at all. Lots of parks along the way. If the drivers of Montreal were like Americans then it would be a...More

Aside from this being one of (if not THE ) the longest street in the city, if you like antiques and second-hand stores, there are a few in the area where you can not only find great items, but have a great time.
