Great for walks, architecture lovers and religious believers. The construction of the church is magnificent.

So I think this was a great stop. we spent about two hours exploring the basilica. there were allot of people and tour groups. so worth the stop, regardless of your religious back ground

Worth a visit while in Montreal. Chapels are exquisite and the view from the top is amazing. And climbing the stairs is good for you!

The place looks better from the outside, the inside is hot and crowded. Everything is for sale too candles, coins, books you name it and it is for sale.

You don't have to be Christian to appreciate visiting this Church. The best time to visit is during the week since it gets very crowded on the weekends and parking is not easy to find. In the back of the Basilica is a lovely ad...More

The church is huge. It's incredibly ornate. The view of Montréal from the top of the steps is beautiful.

Even if you are not religious this is a nice church to visit as well a the side park which shows the 12 station of the cross. When. You go on the balcony. You have a great view of Montreal and laval

Gps led us to a place where there was no charge. I'm not sure what entrance you are referring to. We did not have a charge.

They have special set of wooden steps in the middle. I think it can be done at anytime.
