This is a small zoo with animals that for one reason or another can't be returned to the wild. Great care has been taken to explain the natural habitat of each animal. In English as well as French. There is also an excellent play area...More

I have visited the Ecomuseum on several occasions. When my daughters were 8 and 10 years old, they attended a summer day program where they cleaned out the bear pen and were involved in learning all about the various animals in this small zoo. It...More

A small zoo, with a surprisingly varied selection of animals. A pleasant surrounding and a nice walk to take with kids. Nearby hotels offer discounts for admission for guests. One downside, a gravel/sand parking lot makes for a very dusty experience entering and leaving.

In an area of the island of Montreal in the middle of fields and forests, come and enjoy a great little zoo with local animals. Very cool.

The zoo is nice and fun! In the heat, like any zoo, it's hard to see the animals because they are hiding. The kids enjoyed the turtles and squirrels of all types. Fun activity close by without going to far. Open year round also :)

Most of the exhibits were open and my kids loved the facility. The animals were playful and engaged. The staff talked with the 4 kids at many points and had lots of information to offer. We had two girls - 6 & 8 and two...More

Love the fact that we can visit the place in less than 2-3 hours with the kids. Also love that they present only species that are present in the province, in order learn more about the biodiversity of our own place. The place is well...More

Drove from Ottawa to Montreal to visit this dump. Should have stayed home. 50 bucks entry for my wife and son to stare into a bunch if empty enclosures. Decrepit and depressing. Skip this place altogether and head for the Biodome instead.More

Hi Jon, We're sorry to read you didn't have a good time at the zoo. You mentioned that the zoo looked decrepit and depressing. On-going work is done to keep our facilities and habitats clean, natural and up-to-date. Of course, we’re not a typical zoo,...More
