Every show is brought to a new level in this venue, because it is an acoustical phenomena. Genious! Perfect sound, clear views from all seats. No need for ear plugs here.

Place des Arts is a great place to see a play, a ballet or a concert. It is also a great environment to walk around in the summer and just enjoy!

I have been to a number of events at PDA and have loved each and every one.The seating arrangement is excellent.Very comfortable seats with lots of leg room. The fact that one does not have to go outdoors to catch the metro is great.

After my arrival in Montreal, my first evening took place at Place des Arts. It is the home of two long time residents, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montreal and the Opera de Montreal. I attended the opera, Dialogues des Carmelites held in the Salle Wilfred-Pelletier hall. It is considered the largest performance hall of its kind in Quebec with... More

You can't visit Montreal without a walk at La Place des Arts. This is one of the most attractive place of the city with temporary exhibits, festival and so on. You have museums, attractions all around and the Complexe Desjardins for shopping.

This is a fantastic venue. It is a great place to just wander around to see what you can see. The concert theatre was comfortable, intimate and the acoustics were excellent. Parking is a little confusing, especially with the road work closing down so many streets. The security people were very helpful in getting us through the barricades and closed... More

Went there last weekend and enjoyed the shows they had there. The design of the building is also pretty cool and definitely represents whats inside!

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
