Montreal is beautiful!! The locals were so very friendly and helpful. We ate at amazing restaurants and took in as many sights as our time would allow. I can't wait to visit the city again!

Worth the walk! Don't try to drive, there is NO PARKING! Lots of historic buildings, and scenic views of the river!

We spent a day wondering the streets. There is so much to see and do finding new discoveries at every turn. It is a mixture of tourist traps, a variety of restaurants and fine art and craft. Something for every one.

This was a great area to walk and shop. Lots of restaurants and local shops. This is a great place just to enjoy the town, but you can also pick up souvenirs.

If you go to Montreal the old city is the most interesting area. You are close to the river (Circ was there), restaurants and museums. There are some very good restaurants (try Gibbys for steak) and a lot of shops. This part of the town...More

Opt to go on the horse ride instead of the amphibus. Great old city I guess our 2 year old son might of had more fun elsewhere but us parents enjoyed it.

Montreal is definitely a beautifully well kept gem... We truly enjoyed the summer days visiting and walking throughout the charming streets and old port. Try the zip-lining, terrific and exhilarating... We will come back!

The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to
some of the city's most antiquated buildings and
picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St.
Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums,
festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a
celebrated part of the city that explodes into
fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its
centre, street performers and artists compete with

My husband and I will be in Montreal for the first time for four days. We will rent an apartment. We will not have a car. Would you suggest your opinion of what section of town is good? We are not shoppers, (except grocery shopping as I plan to cook). Thank you.

Hi. If you're not renting a car, I would suggest staying at a place downtown, close to a subway station. Their collective transport is quite efficient. As for tours like ours, Gray Line Tours has quite a few by bus, which... More

The science museum was the biggest hit for kids. Me and my wife weren't too thrilled with it although the IMAX movie was pretty awesome the kids loved the museum. Lots of hands on stuff for them.
