I must have gone 20 times to the Insectarium with my kids. It is a unique experience. Be careful, it might transform you into a creepy-crawly lover ...

I have to admit that I loved the exhibits, especially the ones with he live insects. My favorite was the leaf cutter ants, followed by some of the walking sticks that you had to search for. Learned a lot.

You'll like this place if you are into bugs. There are so many to see here all displayed for your viewing pleasure! There are some pretty gross looking ones so be warned!

A great place to learn an\bout various insects around the world, but even more about the insects we have here in Canada. We went during the weekday and it was not crowded at all. We liked the ant farm right at the entrance, top floor, seeing these workers carrying leaves to the dwelling was amazing. A great presentation and information.... More

We had an amazing time, however it was a very small place. We were hoping to see more insects and most of them are directed. The ants are amazing though.

We enjoyed this place. It was a fun to visit while at Olympic Park and when the weather was cold. It is interesting and worth a look if you are nearby.

The Insectarium is fun and educational for all ages. I have an advanced degree in Entomology, and I still learned so much from our visit. There are stunning examples of large, gorgeous butterflies, moths, beetles, and other incredible insects. This is the finest insect museum I have ever seen! GO!!!!

This is a fun spot to check out if you are interested in insects. Great for kids. There is even an insect themed part outside for little kids. It is included in the price of entry at the Botanical Garden, so if you are going to the garden, you may as well check it out. Not sure if it would... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
