There are cities from Berlin to Warsaw to Chicago to NYC where many neighborhoods are transitioning from downscale to hip. This is not one of them!!! The photos and write-up for this hotel are frankly misleading and to call it 3-Star brings into question what...More

Formally a pretty rough area and it's still a little sad, but it's coming along. Lots of really beautiful Victorian houses that are being bought up, renovated and help to turn the hood into a neighbourhood. More than a few cute little shops and galleries,...More

This section of Queen Street West from Gladstone to Bathurst is filled with small, independent, boutique shops. It was definitely worth visiting if you enjoy window shopping. From Bathurst to Spadina, there are many fabric stores.

Some good food and decent coffee. Beards, tattoos, unemployment. The mental hospital has a nice park. Watch out for the crack heads.

Very nice for a Sunday stroll. There's lots of restaurants, cafes, clothing boutiques, and some vintage/consignment stores. If you want to get off the main sidewalk, just South of Queen, parallel to it, there is graffiti alley which is a must-see.
