This was my first orchestra experience and I very much enjoyed it. I attended the Beethoven Symphony Orchestra and it was very much pleasing to the ears.

I went with two teenagers to see the symphony. They were performing works by American composers. The orchestra is an excellent group of very talented musicians. The venue has amazing acoustics and the program was very well thought out and orchestrated. Definitely a good place to go to see world class musicians

Star Wars - Return of the Jedi, In Concert, October 4, 2019 at Roy Thomson Hall, Steven Reineke conductor. This was the first of two cine-concerts (live orchestra playing the music score synchronized to the film onscreen) that the TSO is doing this season (the other is in May 2020). It was an amazing experience! Reineke opened by inviting the audience to cheer, boo, hiss at their favourite moments in the picture, and to occasionally watch the orchestra working hard (they played continuously for the last hour per John Williams score). RTH even made the evening more friendly by allowing drinks and snacks inside the auditorium (how civilized can we become?). All things considered, the evening, along with Reineke's extraordinary energy made for a fantastic evening appropriate for all ages who would normally watch the movie. The orchestra and Reineke were accorded an extended standing ovation at the end of the performance (one of those rare times where everyone stays until the credits have finished). Well done TSO and Reineke!

Having never been to see the Toronto Symphony Orchestra perform, I didn't know what to expect. I am a lover of most all music and our visit provided a great variety. Our performance also involved dancers providing dances suitable to the genres. The music and performances were wonderful. The conductor was very interactive with the audience and explained the music being performed. It was a great first experience and I would definitely go again.
