From learning how the subway system worked and where it took me and from walking aimlessly through as many streets as I could find on my first visit there I came to make the concluding statement, namely College Street is important for me and for others. It is interesting but maybe not like Bloor or some parts of Yonge or... More

Walked around this street and couldn't really find anything that interested me. There is some restaurants and a few churches along the way, but apart from that I wouldn't say that this is one of the best streets in Toronto. If you are wandering around in Toronto, you will probably walk some part of it, or at least cross it.... More

We came here because of friends living close by and now I am officially jealous of their neighbourhood! So many bars and restaurants to choose from and a lovely summery vibe. It's a difficult choice of what to go for so relax and check out the menus, it's not just Italian to choose from e.g Nirvana is a good place... More

Compared to other cities and their entertainment districts, it is just ok. Lacks easy access to public transit - subway. Parking is pricey and scarce. Crowded and not very unique. Lacks charm.

Being an Italian visiting Toronto I could not forget to visit Little Italy here. It's "more Italian" than the one in New York, to be honest so I really liked it. There are many cafés and restaurants, shops selling everything from clothes to the famous Vespa mopeds! I really ejnoyed a walk there and the Cappuccino I had in one... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
Toronto's Little Italy is a city hotspot for cafe culture and nightlife. There's something for everyone in Little Italy, apparent from the cross-section of clubbers in glitzy dresses, and elderly couples arm-in-arm heading to their favorite wine or pasta spot. Cafes spill onto the wide sidewalks, pool lounges and bars are always teeming with noise and activity, and both outdoor and indoor marketplaces are packed with fresh fish, cured meats, and pungent cheeses. All of the activity makes it a perfect spot for people-watching, especially over a nice glass of red wine or a quick and sumptuous slice of pizza at one of the many eateries or trattorias in the area.
