We only had a short time in Toronto and this is what we chose to do! Took the Ferry over to Center Island and walked around for a bit. It was a quick ride over and plenty of seating. Views were spectacular and the Islands are a must see!

My family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) visited Toronto in July 2019. Went on a Saturday morning to the Toronto Islands. Buy your ticket in advance online, otherwise you'll be waiting in a very long line, probably in the hot sun. It's only about $6 per person, so not a bad price. Overall, fine experience.…

Took a Jack Layton Ferry to Centre Island and back. It was $8.19 CAD round trip. There is plenty seating with great views. The ride is approximately 15-20 minutes. There are also restrooms and snacks/beverages available for purchase.

This is a great way to get across to Toronto islands! Centre island is definitely worth seeing. These ferries have a huge capacity, so you should get on easily. At CAN$9 for an adult, good value for money as you get a free return from the island, even if you go over by water taxi. …
