Nice Spot In the City

Great place for a walk for you and your dog. Nice quiet park within the city limits. Don't purchase food from vendors in the park unless you like to be ripped off.

Had a great day with family and friends. Petting zoo is a hit with the kids. Must visit during cherry blossom season. Great atmosphere!

There is so much to do outdoors here and parking is free. The children's petting zoo is great even if you don't have kids! Everyone can hold the various animals and you can buy little packets of feed for a nominal amount. Although everything is free a donation is welcomed as it helps to keep the place running. There is... More

Beautifully maintained. Nice and relaxing spot for a walk, bike or picnic. The entire park is a fantastic place for photographs, and would make a great venue for engagement or wedding shoots. I absolutely LOVE the zoo. The animals seem to be well taken care of and the staff that I've seen there really love working with the animals.

Good for a stroll, cycling or just sitting down and reading. Has a small zoo for entertaining the kids as well. Restaurant available for meals, coffee, tea, etc.

High Park has always held a special place in my heart, as I lived in the surroundings for the first 12 years of my life and visited it often; it is still as lovely as it was back in my childhood (1960-1970s). Whenever I return, I stroll along the familiar pathways leading to Grenadier Pond and take in the new... More

Get away to a wonderful oasis of green nature in the middle of the city. Toronto is a fantastically energetic city but if you want to a couple of hours of peace and tranquility and re-charge your green batteries, High Park is the ideal place

My first white Christmas was made special by visiting this park! The water frozen over, the dogs allowed to roam free, the squirrels oh and the thick beautiful white snow. So picturesque!!

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
