The people working at the Fort recreate the time period for you as you see what life would be like the 1850's. We attended an evening function during a conference where young people in authentic costumes mingled with the group and shared information about what...More

It was fun to be greeted by staff in character. It took a minute for the kids to get in the groove but once they did they started asking questions of the time period. Our visit mid-week in the summer was nice and uncrowded. Glad...More

Interesting to see the old buildings and learn about the past. Lots to see and learn. My kids were interested but after awhile they got tired of all the walking. If you love forts and history then this is a must see.

We enjoyed our trip to the Fort. It was close to the Valhalla Inn. The people at the fort were very informative. We learned alot of new information from the staff there.

At least 2 to 3 hours. Take your time, enjoy the farm and aboriginal encampment. Many buildings and stories to be told by the actors.

Sometimes there are sponsored events outside the fort by the parking areas. I would check the event schedule to see what might be happening in July. Enjoy your visit!
