In November, I went to see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, a classic book written by:CS Lewis,at Avon Theatre which is in Stratford. If you have never been, the theatre is old on the outside but is carpeted on the inside. Although it's a nice theatre., It was a very good and authentic performance to watch. The costumes... More

I had bought tickets for a dear friend for his birthday. I dare say this had to be the best performance I had ever seen. A flawless performance, amazing costumes, professional performers, a delight to witness indeed. I am so thrilled that I was able to fulfill a friend's desire to see this amazing production..a treat for myself as well.... More

Even before it became a venue for the Stratford Festival of live theatre, the Avon was host to the Stratford Film Festival (which went on to become the TIFF). Now it provides one of the stages where people of all ages can enjoy some of the very best theatrical performances offered in North America. We attend several plays each year,... More

A magical show in this lovely theatre. While some of the seating can be quite far from the stage, view is unobstructed, seat comfortable and we never miss the store.

Venue was lovely, staff were great. No big lineups, everything worked. But the play was just amazing! Actors were great and there is no bad seat in the house! Highly recommend seeing this play!

We very much enjoyed the production of Shakespeare in Love that we attended in the Avon Theatre. Aside from the production, the theatre is beautiful in its own right. The architecture, art, and decoration of the building is beautiful. The inside of the auditorium is a wonderful blend of historic and modern decor, and is small enough that even the... More

Recently we had the pleasure of seeing "A Little Night Music" at the Avon Theater. With seats second row in the balcony we could see everything perfectly. The seats were great although if you were a "larger" size person, it may not be too comfortable. ( We were also told that the first 5 - 6 rows of orchestra require... More
