located very near to the Canadian Bushplane Museum, this site is a worthwille visit to understand the importance of trapping to the region. Recommend seeing the short movie first to understand the history. The house and blockhouse/office are very impressive.

The clergu house was closed for the season but the Ermatinger house was open for touring; The film we watched was most informative and was a good precurser to the tour of the Ermatinger house.

You will love the kitchen and the basement in this old stone house. The attic is interesting also. The costumes and overall presentation is worth the stop in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
