It was a great adventure for our young grandchildren to see. They were truly amazed at how the locks work. The grounds around the locks were well cared for

A quick stop here today, it’s quite impressive and not a long detour. Park right on site. If you want to experience he lift, you’ll have to book a cruise on it. We didn’t bother and just walked around.

This early 20th century hydraulic lift lock quite unique with boats going up or down an almost 20 meter lift, as one side goes up the other goes down. Not something likely to be seen elsewhere

Liftlock Cruises Peterborough. Suggest you look them up online to see when they start this year. Don,t think they will be operating until May long weekend.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Peterborough as it is close to town, and the cruise boat dock is right outside.
