This is an interesting small town museum packed with a good collection of exhibits about the town history. Fascinating look at how the town grew to today. Can easily spend a couple hours if you read the exhibits. Recommended.

It explains the history of Peterborough. The Irish settlers who came here. Also it tells the story of the Indians who were first here. The old pictures are great. Each year they also have a special exhibit like the AVRO ARROW, etc..

My wife and I visited on a Saturday. We really liked the collections of artifacts. I especially liked looking at the old photos of downtown from the 1890s. Also some good artifacts explaining the older industries that once were the backbone of the economy.
