It’s amazing that the community of Peterborough offers this free zoo. It’s a great place the take the kids just to “walk around” and be outside.

The Zoo ofcourse is the main attraction here. In addition, there is play area for kids which they love. There is a train which operates in peak summer. The ramp going down has some nice picnic spots to do BBQ along the river. In Fall,...More

Small Zoo with big heart. Has a great splash pad and playground. Best of all when everything else is priced out of reach for large families (5+ people) this is still free.

What a great place and there is no charge!! Easy to walk through, descriptions posted and easy to find. Splash pad looked like a blast. We will be back and often

I would highly recommend the zoo for small children. There are many places to play and there are enough animals to captivate the minds of these young ones. The zoo is free as well.

My son's family from Nova Scotia visited the zoo with the 3 kids and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The fact that it was free created a very affordable visit. Snack bar is a must for the kids. Would do it again.
