Probably a hundred merchants on a snowy cold Sunday afternoon. Held in huge cavernous building which doesn't heat very well. Large variety of foodstuff, many offering samples. Also places where they can serve you prepared food to eat on site. Well worth a visit.

The By Ward as known by the locals offers quality farm products. The market also offers various produce shops, including fish, meat and European specialties. Everything for the table can be found.

The peaches were phenomenal. The plums had large ones on the top and then tiny ones on the bottom (rather dishonest)! The quiche with apples and blue cheese was extremely rich and needed salt (the one we really wanted was sold out). The first place...More

What a pleasant way to spend a sunny Sunday morning! The stalls are at the back of Landsdowne (if you are coming from Bank st), near the beautiful, yellow Aberdeen pavilion. There is a large variety of vendors, with a lot of produce and products....More

We had a great shop at the market on Saturday morning. We went early and had no issue getting free parking on a side street in the Glebe! The vendors are all friendly and upbeat. We sampled so many wonderful things. Purebred purple maize bread...More

The market was huge with lots of variety- the only disappointment was that it was closed after dinner but obviously they can't be open 24 hours a day :). Lots of fresh veggies and artsy stuff too! Really fun to walk around.

We didn't visit the indoor vendors, but all of the outdoor vendors are real, local producers. It's June, so the only fruit were strawberries and apples; and the veggies were tomatoes, asparagus and dozens of different greens. But all of them were fresh and tasted...More
