Canada's national natural history museum offers world-class galleries in a handsome heritage "castle". Marvel at dinosaurs and other ancient reptiles in the Fossil Gallery. See grizzlies and other wild animals up close in beautiful dioramas in the Mammal Gallery. Observe hundreds of specimens in the Bird Gallery. See a real blue whale skeleton in the Water Gallery. Be dazzled by over a thousand gorgeous minerals and rocks in the Earth Gallery. Peer at an eye-popping assortment of creepy crawlies in Nature Live. Enjoy an action-packed 3D movie. Take advantage of numerous hands-on activities. Don't miss the special, travelling exhibitions. A superb destination for visitors of all ages!

There were 6 adults and we spent a few hours in the various exhibits. There's something to learn for all age groups and it's not boring. We could have spent more time, but all were happy with about 3 hours to explore. I enjoyed the...More

This place is immense, took us 5 hours to see all the exhibits spread over 4 floors. The dinosaur exhibit is amazing, some of them are so huge. The interactive video screens really help learn about each display. A very large display of mammals as...More

We loved the Museum of Nature and interactive sites are very compelling for young people to learn more about Nature. It is a very worthwhile museum. I highly recommend it!

The museum has done a great job with what they have and they have set it up well. It looks like it would be a spectacular field trip for schools and a perfect educational and learning experience. They have hands on items, replicas, dioramas, illustrated...More

This museum covers so much on nature, animals, and the mining industry. They have videos and audio stations where you can get an explanation and history on the items and exhibits. This has many interactive items that would be great for kids!

Small but interesting museum. An adult with no kids in tow can easily see all of the exhibits in under 2 hours. Being from NYC, where museums only ask for a donation, I felt this was expensive for the size and scope.

Thank you for your inquiry. Apologies for the delay. Summer is a busy time, particularly on a rainy day, or on an extremely hot day when it's even too hot to be at a beach. We open at 9 am. If you arrive early, you won't... More
