This is a great summer BBQ picnic park that is not very busy. It is located just off Sixth line in the Dunrobin area. Great outdoor spot for a walk, picnic or use the bathroom and shower facilities if you're on a boat in the bay. Maybe propose or get married there in the summer. Nice little museum gives a... More

Pinhey’s Point, along the Ottawa River, is an historic site with a 200-year old manor house, some other buildings, and ruins of other buildings. The area is also a park, with a playground area, and a boat pier. I was out of season so unable to visit the museum in the house itself. It's a beautiful and serene spot, with... More

Great for picnics and photos. Very scenic views of the river and they have a small playground for the kids. Museum is only open from May to August but there are special events from time to time

We brought our 10 year old son and his friend to the City of Ottawa's campfire and storytelling and its was a good time. Stories were about the local history and songs were great to keep the kids' attention. Visiting the main house afterward was a real treat.

Tour guides brought us back in time and were very knowledgeable. Beautifully maintained grounds and gardens. Beautiful views of the Ottawa river.

This historic site is on a hillside overlooking the Ottawa River, There has been a lot of restoration over the years. There entertainment on the grounds at different times during the summer. An interesting look at the way the settlers arrived and lived in the 1800s around Ottawa. Good for people of all ages.

We have been meaning to visit this site for a long time. An out of town visitor spurred us on. The house and out buildings are from the late 18th- early 19th century. The house has a lot of the original furniture. The outdoor kitchen is interesting because of the size of the fireplace. The view of the Otawa River... More

We visited Pinhey's Point Historic site because we thought there was a bit of beach and we could hang out by the water on a hot day. It was a hot weekday and there was basically no one in sight -- the site felt a bit lost and neglected. There were a few interesting old stone buildings and tired looking... More
