This Island is on the Champlain Bridge between Ontario & Quebec. Picnic tables with BBQ pits. Listen to the water flowing over the rapids. You can see the Parliament Buildings from here. Nothing commercial, just peaceful.

We drove here and the parking is really conveniently on the island. It's really small but don't let that stop you. The views are just gorgeous and the rapids (vary through the year) are great. It's a wonderful spot to stop and catch your breath...More

it is a small island but has a very good view to see the downtown Ottawa. just exit from the bridge, it is so small that can walk around it in 15min.
