Owned by the City of Oshawa, and managed by Spectra Venue Management, the General Motors Centre opened in 2006 with a project cost of $45 million. As Durham Region’s premier Sports and Entertainment Facility, the General Motors Centre provides a first-class home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League, the Durham TurfDogs of the Canadian Lacrosse League and the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame. The venue also boasts an in-house restaurant, Prospects Bar & Grill, which is open typically 2 hours prior to live and sporting events as well as throughout the week for the Durham Central Adult Hockey League (DCAHL). Since opening, the General Motors Centre has hosted major concerts and special events including Elton John, Cirque du Soleil, 2011 BDO Canadian Open, IIHF World Junior Pre-Competition, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Hedley, Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships, Selena Gomez and The Wiggles; just to name a few!

Great location downtown Oshawa. Not to big, but big enough. Really enjoy going to hockey games here. Great for a concert.

We have seen a number of concerts here. We had a blast. It was freezing when we seen Dean Brody in May. Parking is $20 which I think is a bit expensive. But great over all.

Come an enjoy a sport or an event at the TTC. You'll love the casual atmosphere and the great food. It's a 6,000 seat venue that doesn't have a bad seat in the house.

saw Tom Cochrane perform here - well done. Much less expensive than other venues - we were up front and got right up to the stage - no issues. A very down home country feel....perfect for Tom. The centre is easy to find

Check out our in-house restaurant - Prospects Bar & Grill. Open 2 hours before the concert. Highly recommending calling in advance to make reservations.
