Kids got to run around the whole Fort as it wasn’t very crowded. Lots to see. Unfortunately no shows or costumes given Covid but the Fort has done a great job at keeping the fun and keeping it clean!

The fort offers magnificent views of the different waterways that converge at Kingston. You can see the Kingston skyline and the windmills of Wolfe island. And the road leading to the Fort is surrounded by rolling greens on both sides. The only flip side is that the bridge that connects Kingston to Fort Henry is currently closed for repairs and unless you enjoy walking, it can be tiring. But if you are a runner or a walker, then you will cherish the experience. The fort itself is designed as a living museum and has some interesting displays that show you the life of soldiers (and their families) in the year 1867. And that is why the Fort still flies the Union Jack - in 1867 it was under British occupation. There are also some interesting shops but they are currently closed due to Covid restrictions

Well worth the visit! Travel back in time at this large fortification. Great history lesson, for young and old, with Pipe and drum and musket firing demonstrations. Only $13 for adults.

Seemed like not much going on as they were getting ready for Halloween and also had a lot shut down for Covid. Still a very wonderful and beautiful place. Easy to follow route around fort and there was a lot of information on the walls and displays. Would like to go when all is open for a better representation of what the site can be at its best.
