Description:

Weir's Lane Lavender & Apiary is an environmentally friendly lavender...

Weir's Lane Lavender & Apiary is an environmentally friendly lavender farm in the countryside just outside of Dundas, Ontario (40-60 minutes west of Toronto). You can explore the fields on your own or with a guide where we talk about lavender, bees, sustainable farming, and our story. We promote sustainable agriculture and in addition to lavender we keep bees, have a native wildflower pollinator garden, and are growing hazelnut trees. We have a farm store with over 100 lavender and bee related products made on the farm. We also sell products made by local and Canadian artisans and other lavender farmers. Like any flower/crop, there is a prime bloom time. For English lavender it is mid-June to late July and for French lavender it is mid-July into August. We grow mostly English lavender. Our wildflowers bloom from July to early September. There is always something to explore and enjoy on the farm, even in winter. Open Year Round: Please see our website or facebook page for current hours and directions.

This place is a lovely spot in the country, growing lavender organically, and selling a myriad of lavender products in their charming shop. The apiary creates amazing lavender honey. (HumbleBee apiarist Luc Peters started their organic apiary - he can tell you a lot about bees if you visit while he's there.)

Love visiting this place. Take a short tour of the gardens or bee area, smell some great products in the store. The owners are friendly and helpful....great to visit and come home with lavender gifts or something special for yourself.

Weirs is a small farm in a lovely setting. We visited when the lavender was already harvested but still enjoyed our time at the farm. The shop has some wonderful lavender items! Will definatly return for another visit!

A relatively small but picturesque place with a small bee farm. Learned something about the many practical uses of lavender and what attracts bees to lavender. The farm staff was nice and pleasant. We visited on a Tuesday and got in for free.

Was lovely to see the plants in full bloom. The store had a great selection of items including lots of culinary lavender. The only thing that bothered me was the 10.00 fee to enter... sure you get the 10.00 back in a shop giftcard, but I think a lesser fee would suffice... This coming from someone who spent over 40.00... More

Dear Rebecca, Thank you for taking the time to review our farm. We appreciate the feedback. Happy to hear you enjoyed the farm and delighted that you supported it with a purchase at the farm store. With respect to our admission fee -- from our perspective we'd rather not charge an admission fee. But unfortunately when we did not charge... More

Summer is lavender season, and this beautiful little farm just outside of Hamilton is worth the visit. It is a laid back place, not a large, commercial endeavour. We were greeted by their summer helper, a lovely high school student, who showed us around the fields, explained about the lavender, how it is grown, and the varieties, and showed us... More

Weir's Lane Lavender and Apiary has shown up in my news feed on several occasions. Let me tell you for an avid gardener, Encaustic Artist & Plein Air Painter that's like catnip! I knew the lavender wouldn't be in bloom until maybe mid-June, so I waited for a post to say that they had some varieties of lavender in bloom.... More

This is a small family-run lavender farm and apiary in a beautiful rural location about a 10-minute drive from Dundas, Ont. From Main St., go west on Hwy 99 (Governors Rd) for about 4.5 kms, turn right (north) on Weirs Lane, then continue for about 1.5 kms. The farm is on your left. If you hit Hwy 8 you have... More

A beautiful lavender farm set on 11 acres. We were greeted by Kevin who took us on a very informative tour. His enthusiasm and passion for what he works very hard at was contagious. A gorgeous gift basket made for my sister was perfect! Thanks Kevin!

Friends and I planned a trip here after seeing the beautiful website and after hearing great feedback. Not sure why our experience was so radically different. The farm itself is hard to find...just a tiny sign at the end of a driveway. You pull up to the front of a rather run down house and are sort of left to... More
