I visited African Lion Safari with my friend and her 9 year old son over the weekend. Even though I was there about 15 years ago, it was still quite a new experience for me. We opted to take the bus as some friends advised...More

My expectations were low but we we all loved this experience. Admission seems pricey, but at the end of your day, you realize it is worth every penny. So many animals to observe. The bus trip is fantastic. I suggest you go first thing in...More

We arrived first thing in the morning after a three hour drive. We were one of the first cars going through and we had quite the experience! We had lions a foot from our car (quite scary but amazing), baboons all over our car, an...More

Great day out for all ages. The splash park looked fantastic but unfortunately the weather wasn't the best so our children only had a brief (very cold) dip in the water. Parrot and bird shows were both excellent. The safari is fun and the animals...More

We took the bus (which I highly recommend) and it was a lot of fun seeing all the animals up close. Once we were on the other side of the park there was a playground and a water park. My son had a blast. The...More

We went early (9:30am) on a day that it was supposed to rain, but the weather held up and there wasn't a cloud in the sky during the whole morning and late afternoon. We were lucky and there didn't seem to be huge crowds. We...More

Our annual visit to the Safari did not disappoint. Each time we go there is something different to see and the animals were at their best - we find spring best for animal behaviors- first in the gate at 10am-with binoculars and cameras it takes...More

When you are driving through the game reserve, do you have to go at the pace of the cars ahead of you, or do you have freedom to stop and go as you wish? Also, can you enter again once you have exited the game reserve?

Hi there, We are thinking of taking our kids tomorrow (Sept 25th). Wondering if there is a change in animal behaviour at this time of year i.e. will the animals be out and about just as much as they were in the summer? Many thanks everyone.

You can get through the Safari in 90 minutes, it is self-paced. You should allow time for the other shows, too. I would expect 6 hours to be a minimum.
