Small and compact

Lots of information we enjoyed looking at the train and going into station and looking at the history of Fort Erie and Crystal Beach.

The Fort Erie Historical Railroad Museum might be small, but don't be fooled by it's size. This little museum packs in a huge assortment of Railroad memorabilia from the Old Steam Engine days. Come and take a look at the Old 6218. One of the larger Steam engines on display. This museum also holds a dear place in my heart,... More

This museum consists of a locomotive train and a carriage which you can board to see the inside. There is also a station where they include a few archival photographs, an old telephone and some other antiquities. It's great for a few pictures next to the train and train station but really there isn't much to see so you'll be... More

This small museum offers a great deal of history about railway transportation, particularly in the Fort Erie area. This area supported at least two "lines" I was totally unaware of. The museum "office" is in a unique, compact and very narrow railway station that originally served as the Fort Erie terminus of the International Railway Bridge. For reasons unexplained, it... More

One of the more interesting places to see in Fort Erie. There's not much to see in downtown Fort Erie, this nicely preserved train station and train display is not far from downtown Fort Erie, and worth a stop if you are in the area.

This museum is located in a small park area in fort erie, not far from the u.s. border. It consists of a enormous 4-10-4 steam locomotive that was in use until 1973 and a caboose with its original fixtures. There are also a couple of old station buildings transplanted from other places, one of which serves as the gift shop.... More

We stopped at this little museum and were pleasantly surprised we could get onto the train to take a look inside. The kids loved that! The location also has the train stop that used to be in operation in Ridgeway, helping preserve local history. The gift shop has some neat souveniers. Adjacent to the museum is a wonderful, spacious green... More

This is an interesting spot. Kids would enjoy climbing into the steam engine. Things to learn for adults also. Photos, displays, objects. Admission is by donation. Park setting is also nice.

Our great niece's 1st birthday party was held in the adjacent building. The room was large and washrooms were clean and conveniently located. The kids were able to enjoy the locomotive and the grounds were attractive.
