The Bell family moved to Brantford from Scotland. This their first home , and now it is a museum, and it has a lovely restaurant. My sorority group went their for our Christmas get together, and it was wonderful. The atmosphere was festive and we were treated well. The food was great, as it always is. I have eaten there... The Bell Homestead has been under new management for the past couple of years. The menu contains all of the items that you look for when out lunching with friends. It does not matter what you order, you will not be disappointed. Just make sure that you save room for dessert! The staff is friendly. This is one of those... More

The Bell Homestead is a pretty (especially between spring and fall) location, with excellent tour guides who share not only the official history of Alexander Graham Bell that many would know, but also the stories and people surrounding the man and the development of the telephone. Thus explained, this history comes to life in three dimensions, as if you you... More

It was late when I visited the Bell Homestead so I was unable to do a guided tour. However, I spent whatever time I had roaming around the property, enjoying the pretty set-up that was being done for a play. Definitely a must-visit and a must-learn-more about this place the next time.

Quaint country homestead house with abundance of historical artifacts and information. If you are a fan of Bell, or just a history buff, a must see. PS: The apples out in front of the house are delicious!

We visited last week being Scottish we knew of the history of Alexander Graham Bell, however our guide Brian was exceptional in his knowledge and the tour he gave us was second to none. House was very interesting and guide was excellent. Seeing the original phones was amazing. House was beautifully furnished with some genuine pieces from Bell's time.
