We had planned on camping for a couple nights. Fortunately we had the chance to see the sites before we paid. The area we drove into had seasonals with their vehicles using the open sites as parking spaces. Vehicles were also blocking the roadway. We...More

The entry to the park is like 7 bucks a person, fishing hiking canoeing boat rentals typical conservation area stuff. I specifically went for fishing, went below the dam, there are no "special" regulations outside the regular provincial ones. Fishing was nice I went during...More

OK so I have been reading through a bunch of different reviews and there are so many bad reviews here that can be easily explained. For instance, the lake is not polluted it is either E-Coli bacteria, of unfortunately this year, green-blue algae which is caused...More

Well treed campground. If the water level is high enough, the lake is an 'ok' place to use a power boat. Watch for the shallows, they creep up on you quickly. Swimming there, while possible isn't ideal. You will want to shower afterwards.

Our late decision to go camping left us with few choices. First time here, we ended up in the radio-free lower park, site # 411. Small site with a firepit and picnic table edged by a few trees. We faced a large park, across from...More

Went for a 3 night stay at site 417. Most secluded site and right beside the river so at least that was nice. The lake has been fished to death, on the park brochure they claim that there's good fishing and a large variety of...More

Went there to go camping for the first time with some friends -- it was quite good (better than I expected). The camp sites were very large (we had 70 and 71) and serviced. It's a bit of all out in the open so you...More

Visited a friends cottage here. Coming from Australia we were totally entranced by frozen lakes, beautiful snow covered cottages and of course a ripper home cooked lunch! This area is well worth a visit. We'd love to visit during the fall as it would be...More

We stopped at the Conservation Area to go fishing. Washrooms were pit toilets or johnny on the spots and very disgusting. The beach area was small and not many people swimming as it was closed due to pollution. Boats were everywhere with people trying to...More
