What an excellent resource for this city! Not the staid "shh-ing" atmosphere of former libraries, this is an interactive, immersive space with gifts of architectural interest coming from outsidei-in as well as around nearly every corner and on al levels.

A beautiful building, friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of space, free wifi, computers that the public can use. If you don't have a library card, they have temp passwords you can use. It is open Mon-Thurs 9am to 9pm, Fri and Sat9am to 6pm and Sunday from noon til 6pm.They have an open air seating space on the fifth floor, with a great view of the city. They have an entire floor for kids and those who are with them.…

This is a great little community hub. 2 Pavia cafe's with an open air dining area. Has an area advertising local events, services, jobs, etc. There are some homeless people that congregate outside and a couple that sit inside who use it as a quiet safe space. You'll find people of all ages across the 5 floors reading, collaborating and using computers. They also have a Light Therapy (SAD) Lamp that you can use on site or rent which is a great feature.…

If you love books and libraries, you'll surely enjoy a few hours here. This is the most incredible library I've been to (in Canada). It has 5 floors, a rooftop garden, coffee shops, a media room and more. There is a unique book return where you can watch your books head up a conveyor belt to be returned. The staff is super friendly and there are free pads and tampons in the bathrooms, which is really unique and a great idea.…
