innovative building in downtown, serves the community well. Coming from a small city this building fascinated me in how diverse its offering are.

We went into the building and took the elevator to the top floor for a great view of Halifax. The reading room overlooks the main street and looks out onto the moss covered roof of adjacent lower building.

Not only a great library, it is a stunning public space, with something to offer any visitor. Designed to evoke a stack of books, from its living roof to its excellent cafes it excites the eyes and mind.
