You have to visit this library. It has won multiple awards for it's architecture, and is located in one of the best parts of the city for shopping as well as people watching!

Went with 3 small kids and was able to still spend time looking because they have an entire floor dedicated to children. They loved it and were tired enough to give us time to look and take out some books. Great view of the city...More

It's so nice to have a comfy and modern library with a huge selection so close to where we've been staying. There is food here too that is very good. The library staff are super helpful and the online ordering and follow up is fantastic.

If you go to the Halifax Public Libraries web-site there is a kids events listing on the left hand side.
