would like to remove my original review below as Spirit Spa completely changed my mind about my experience with them. The spa manager, Julie, reached out the next day after my treatment to thank me for my feedback. She truly listened to my concerns and assured me that she would be taking my suggestions to the rest of her team to see how they can implement positive changes. She said they always welcome feedback and are happy to make changes to make the client experience better! She also wanted to ensure I was taken care of and asked how they can make it right. She offered me the opportunity to come back and enjoy a 90 minute complementary Super Sweet Skin Facial. I met with Christine, one of the spa’s most experienced estiticians, and she talked me through the process. It was a complete 180 to my previous experience! Dim lighting, under blankets/comfortable, and relaxing music. There was a back massage, facial/neck massage, hand/arm massage, and even a scalp massage at the end included! The products are all organic and smelled INCREDIBLE. Like fresh, juicy fruit. The facial included her examining my skin and doing extractions where needed, and a couple different scrubs/masques. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would go back for sure. So I just wanted to come back and give the spa the review they deserve. I go to Spirit regularly for massage therapy with Kielly Christie and she is THE BEST. I had a great experience lately where I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment. I was disappointed because I knew my massage would be cut short. However, Justin was able to push my appointment by 15 minutes so not only could I relax before my massage, I also got my full hour in. Booked a full spa day for my 25 yr old daughter and myself at the newer Kaye Street location as a special treat. We had treatments with seven different service providers and all were friendly and fantastic at what they provided. The mud muddle and facial were the best I have ever had..the aestheticians Christine and Jessica stayed throughout the process adding arm massages..scalp massages and a paraffin wax treatment. Other places leave the room between applications of product...staying and continuing to pamper was certainly added value. Manis and pedis were superb and the hair stylists who ended out day with a shampoo and blowout were great.…

I keep returning to Spirit on Salter for the lovely environment and special touches. I usually visit for shellac pedicures. I love being offered a beverage, sometimes with a sweet treat or piece of fruit. Often there is a heated neck wrap, cozy blankets and lots of great magazines. Over the years, I have noticed that the quality varies quite widely by esthetician. Sometimes the polish is applied so far from the cuticle that it looks like the pedi is a month old after only a week of wear. Sometimes, no one checks-in to see if there is anything you might need mid-way through. Occasionally the massage feels a bit rushed. Most of the time however, I leave feeling relaxed and well taken care of. For the price, I haven't found a better spot yet!…

I have had two negative experience at this place. My first experience is similar to the one mentioned in one of the reviews. I has an appointment for 1:30pm and got there two hours early because they said I needed to do some paper work and that they had services on site I could use such as the pool. However, when I got there I was the only visible minority present there, I sat myself down, no one welcomed me. They literally attended to the lady right next to me and I was ignored like I was not even present at all!. I walked up to the reception and explained to her that I has an appointment and no one even talked to me the whole time I was there and they just nonchalantly dismissed me. My second experience, was when I left my bathing suit in the change room, The next day was a Sunday I called them to see if they had it, they said they did and would keep it so I come pick it up on Monday because they were closing the time I called. Come Monday when I called they said they could not find it. I asked for the lady I spoke with that said she had it and they said they would get back to me, its been months now and no one ever reached out to apologize or say what they did to my bathing suit. The third time I used their service, still could not be nice and had the awkward visible minority experience, I cannot say if the reason for the bad experience is because they have no experience dealing with people with visible difference or they just have bad staff and are nonchalant, anyway I stopped going there!
