Great way to travel to Dartmouth and Halifax, See the sunrise, sunset, meet people, the historical buildings surrounding the Halifax Harbour and the ocean, watch cruise ships, navy sheets and container ships etc sail in and out of the harbour.

Just a quick way to get across with great views! You have to do it at least once while you’re here! It’s cheep. It’s quick. It’s scenic. It’s fun. It’s also a great chance to check out the ship building and navel ships.

There is a communter ferry between downtown Halifax and downtown Dartmouth - it's a great way to have a water view of both cities. It's a very pleasant round-trip, and you can't beat the price!!

Although it was raining during our ride the food and scenery were very good. Great family adventure! The ferry fills up fast--place your reservation early.

Parking is crazy downtown with all the construction going on so we park on the Dartmouth side and take the ferry. The kids (5 & 3) love it so it just adds to our adventure.

Currently only service dogs are allowed, although a regional city counselor has suggested that all dogs be allowed to ride the ferry.

There is an inexpensive lot right by the ferry terminal. Google Halifax Ferry Dartmouth Parking for directions and costs
