This ferry leaves every 10 minutes and is an easy and pleasant way to see the harbor. Kids will love it too.

We took the passenger ferry from Dartsmouth. It cost CAD 1,75 each way per person and CAD 6 to park at the ferry terminal. We missed all the traffic backed up on the highway and the ferry dropped us right at the harbour board walk....More

Great way to see the harbor for cheap, only a couple of dollars to get over the harbor. Get a transfer and you can come back over for free. Takes about 15 minutes to cross and is a great tour and views of the Halifax...More

Currently only service dogs are allowed, although a regional city counselor has suggested that all dogs be allowed to ride the ferry.

There is an inexpensive lot right by the ferry terminal. Google Halifax Ferry Dartmouth Parking for directions and costs
