The Discovery Centre is such a great place! It's very family friendly and extremely interactive, it's even fun for older kids. You can learn a lot of different things while you're there and test out why at the same time. You can do everything from watching shows by scientists to getting inside a giant bubble(which is the best part of... More

Great way to spend an afternoon with the kids that is not in front of a TV. Lots of attractions to keep people entertained for a little while.

We were camping just outside of Halifax when we had some pretty rainy weather. We decided to visit the Discovery Centre, and are so glad we did. There were so many things to explore. Our kids especially loved trying to beat Usain Bolt's time in the 100m race. I would definitely recommend this as a spot to visit with kids... More

Got back to hotel and on website found out it is closed for a move, will re-open somewhere else next year. Was disappointed that it... More

Just to let you know, it is currently closed, pending a move late this year or early next year to a much larger, more modern site, currently under construction down by the Seaport Farmers Market and Pier 21, just off the Boardwalk. It will be a much better location and more accessible.

We spent some times there with the kids (8 and 10), one day in early July of 2016. The guides are passionate and the kids had a lot of fun! The shows are great fun and informative!

Very great place to go with kids, very cheap if you take the annual pass, lots of stuff to see, do and experiment. Wish we could go there more often
