Peggy’s Cove & Halifax

6 reviews
Why not combine our two most popular tours into one? See the sights of the historic port city of Halifax and then take in the famous breathtaking sights of Peggy's Cove.

Our tour would commence from Pier 21 with its Historic block as the "Ellis Island" of Canada, where more than one million immigrants came through and more than 500,000 left from during WWII.

From there we will visit St. Paul's Church, the oldest Anglican church in Canada. As well, St. Paul's Church was among some of the buildings that withstood the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917. We will drive on to Fort Needham Hill where a memorial carillon was built for the victims of that explosion. Then we'll be on to Canada's most famous lighthouse.

Peggy's Cove is one of the most unique, captivating and exhilarating eye-openers in Nova Scotia. The quaint seaside hamlets of Shad Bay, Big Lake, East Dover and West Dover, to mention but a few, are also breathtaking.

Small little gallery showcasing local artists. It took us a long time to find this place as the address on TripAdvisor was incorrect showing it as being on Barrington. It is actually now down by the Harbour Boardwalk area near Pier 21.

Dropped into this gallery while touring other nearby attractions, and fund it most interesting, with the skill set of local artists absolutely amazing. Well worth a visit.

Located between the cruise terminal and the farmers market the Centre for Craft and Design is a gallery that highlights the work of local artists. There is no single style as the works cover the gamut from traditional art to ceramics and the modern. After the gallery there is a gift shop that has arts and crafts from local artists. This is a place that you might buy gifts for friends.

This centre has a beautiful gallery showcasing Halifax artists and craft. The work is beautiful and prices quite reasonable. It is a short walk from the cruise ship terminal.
