We had a nice walk around the Witherod Lake loop. It is well-groomed and would be appropriate for those with a tough stroller. We were a little surprised at how infrequently the lake could be seen or accessed so I wouldn’t describe it as a particularly scenic or memorable trail. However, the area did seem well maintained.

Never been to a more beautiful spot. I recommend going in the fall, not many bugs, and all the trees and plants turn different colors. So many picture worthy moments, and great scenery stops. It's a lovely walk, with great trails. Great place to watch sunset or rise. I would say to watch it over the lake. I can't begin to tell you how pretty and peaceful this place is. Great for all ages. Trails a clean, and well kept. Its often a quiet place, that isn't very busy.

This Provincial Park is in such arms reach, it's fantastic - all times of year, but especially summer. You're able to walk into the park and within a short distance be right at the water. You could either walk along the paths (although I don't find them to be marked well, but theres a good amount of people to help guide you) or along the waters edge. Very dog friendly area - many pup owners walking their furry friends.

This was a nostalgic visit to Long Lake of which my late partner often spoke, as he was a skater and lived close by as a boy. It is beautiful and with very good hiking. We only had a short time but it offers much to the day picnic person and walker/hiker. Stay longer and take advantage of the kayaking and this wonderful oasis in the heart of city life.
