My 25 year old son and I went to see Pinocchio last weekend. The adaptation was refreshing. It was humorous, playing to the adults more than the children. The ad-libbing was great when a helicopter interrupted a scene and the thespians didn't miss a beat. It's too bad we left it so late in the season. We'll both be back... More

On a beauty night we booked on line. For $50 you get 2 reserved seats in the front and 2 water bottles. The show was great. Well done singing. Action. Fun. Bring a hoody and some snacks. Will probably go to see King Lear. Before first week of September is over.

We went to see "As you like it" this year. We have been to Shakespeare by the Sea before, and so we were really looking forward to it. We were not disappointed. The cast have a natural talent for comedy, and are not overburdened by reverence for Shakespeare. Their performances are refreshing and enjoyable and always lots of fun. Their... More

My wife and I attended Shakespeare by the Sea for the first time tonight. We saw their production of King Lear with 6 friends who regularly attend. The performance was great and the setting was perfect. We will definitely be attending again. The three plays this summer are King Lear, Pinocchio and As You Like It.

Not always easy to find evening entertainment when traveling with two teenage grandchildren and this fit the bill perfectly. Well put together, great talent, overall a great time and good value for money. Website could have been a little more informative, and signage in the park a little more helpful.

My 13 and 15 year old sons and I went to this beautiful outdoor theatre to see Pinocchio. We reserved sweet seats that we ordered online from their website so when we arrived we were escorted to our seats and given water. Definitely the way to go in my opinion. That was great because the show was about to start... More

We saw a production of Pinocchio by this company at Point Pleasant Park on our last night in Halifax. We had come across it while walking in the park a couple of days before, and it looked like so much fun, we returned to see it for ourselves. The company wrote the play themselves, including the songs and all the... More

This was a night to remember because of the great cast and crew who overcame the elements and presented a fantastic performance of 'As you like it.' From the introduction to the epilogue I laughed and marvelled at the ingenuity of the actors to make Shakespeare come alive on a stormy evening. These guys seem to really like each other... More

This is my family's favorite summer activity in Halifax. We always take along a friend who's never been and we all keep going back. Even though they do great Shakespeare plays, we favor their annual fairy tale for the most laughs and musical talent. It's by donation, so quite affordable. We don't just go every summer, we go back several... More

I've been going to shows at SBTS for over a decade and have never been disappointed. Arrive early for a great seat. You can bring your own folding chair or rent from the company. Bring a picnic basket but be warned ... odd are Tom will become your BFF. This is a unique don't-miss Halifax experience provided by dedicated professionals.
