We did a kayak tour around the island. It got a little hairy as the sea picked up but were are still here to tell the tale. The old gun emplacements were really cool.

Have boat, will travel....and we did to McNab a few times this summer; have to get back to explore some more. Love traveling the 'lazy river'. Just minutes away from Halifax and you are in a new world.

Sorry, I would say the trails are not wheel chair accessable. Some are quite rocky and others are very steep.

The "Ferry" to McNabs is any one of a number of small operators who work from Dartmouth and Eastern Passage . Call Mike Tilley of mcnabs island tours, 902-465-4563, as I remember we went over and back for 42$ for 2 people... More
