The public gardens are gorgeous this time of your due to colour changes, etc. The only negative is that the annuals have been removed ( seasonal ) and they close the garden at dark.

Wasn't sure what to expect given a visit in October, but plesantly surprised by the Dahlia Garden where there was a large display of different cultivars. Not many other flowers were in bloom. The Gardens are a pleasant oasis in the middle of the city where you can easily roam along the several paths and easily maintain social distancing in these COVID times. How crowded the Gardens would be in mid summer is another question. There were plenty of benches available to sit and rest. The many different maples were in various stages of fall colours, which was a bonus.…

This is an absolutely stunning park, rich with history! We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the gardens. It's relaxing and quiet, and quite the contrast from the busy city that surrounds it! We stopped at a nearby Starbucks and strolled in the afternoon with a nice drink. We enjoyed looking at the statues and reading the information panels. I would highly recommend a stop here if you are visiting Halifax. The hardest part was finding a parking spot!…

One of the best parks in Halifax. A great way of enjoying a great walk. Lots of trees and flowers, and good views.
