I thought this was very interesting. Some really old graves. Very pretty setting right in the city. Good information available at the site as well with a map of the graves with names.

I love old cemeteries, and enjoy finding the oldest readable stones in them I can. There was so much here I could have spent another hour. One "Oh dear" moment was happening across the homeless guy camped out between a couple of the above ground...More

This is a nice stopping point to visit and learn some more history. To me, it is close to an visit to cemeteries in Boston who have interred historical figures.

A true gem, with informative displays, you get a real sense of history about the men and women who established this city and create canada. Spent lots of time reading tombstone inscriptions, right in downtown.

Interesting history of some great military personnel. General Ross who burned down the White House is buried here. For military buffs this is very interesting.

A quick stop as you walk Old Halifax. Old headstones and monuments in a park like setting. Near several other attractions so it is worth a quick stop when you are in the area.

This was a great place to visit if you like cemeteries as there is a ton of history here. Very reverent and shows how hard it was.

This is a very old historic cemetery in the heart of downtown. If you have any interest at all in cemeteries, this is the one to visit. Some of the gravestones even state cause of death - ie murdered.

Took a little walk around this old cemetery. As it was a rainy day, it felt a little spooky but it was well cared for and had plenty of plaques to read and understand its history.
