Considering its location (and presumably its funding) this museum is pretty good. One doesn't really expect such a thorough museum of natural history in one of Canada's smaller capitals but it delivers enough of interest to be worthy of the investment of time. It also...More

I like going here on occasion, especially when the exhibits change up! The differing displays are always educational, especially the animal ones, and personally I find the Oak Island exhibit interesting. Certainly have this on your to-do list!

Nice small museum, easily rolled around in under an hour. Good wheelchair access. Fun for young and old. Interesting to see they have an Oak Island display of things that have been dug up.

This is one of my favourite places to visit in all of Halifax. I have been back so many times. I am a bit of a science guy, so I enjoy checking out the exhibits. Each time I visit, there is something new added.

We spent a couple of hours here. It is small but very well done. It is a great place for families with younger kids. The exhibits are well done and there are lots of hands on activities.

Smaller than I expected (definitely not an all morning or afternoon adventure - you only need a couple of hours), the Museum was easy to get to. We went twice, once to "experience" the museum and take in the collection and exhibits, and the second...More

This is an excellent museum. The focus is, of course, Nova Scotia. The exhibits showcase many aspects of Nova Scotian heritage and natural history. There are exhibits showing First Nations archeology and culture that are informative and interesting. The exhibits on the natural flora and...More
