A sobering experience to see the names of the victims, allowing us to remember the victims of the tragedy as real people.

Its worth a wander down to take a look at the burial site of the Titanic victims. Learn a bit about the history of why they were buried there and the shameful White Star line treatment of the dead and how the site came about.

Not that easy to find this place as it is outside of the Halifax downtown core. Free entrance of course. They have great signage so you will locate the area of the Titanic burial site. It is shaped like the outline of a large sailing vessel. There are information signs that are very easy to read. Very historical and touching.

- There are 150 victims of the sinking of the Titanic buried here in Fairview Lawn Cemetery. The design and layout of the burial sites allows you to see each and every tombstone in a very personal way. A special spot is the gravesite for a little boy who was unidentified for decades, but has recently been ID'd by DNA.
