The MMA is a great place to wander around at any time. It has enough things that will interest people of all ages, whether kids or adults. They have everything from Theodore Tugboat to the Titanic. History of the RCN, lifeboats from Sable Island. Underwater diving on sunken ships. They also have the Acadia docked behind the museum. She was a hydrographic survey ship, in the RCN during both wars. Normally open to the public, this year the virus kept her closed, but you can still get a look at her. Go visit, you will enjoy it.…

This museum isnt very big, but we very much enjoyed our visit. The Halifax Explosion exhibit was very well done & we learned so much about that fateful day. We also loved the Titanic exhibit, the artifacts from the ship were amazing & the set up of the exhibit was interesting & informative. We also enjoyed “Merlin” the parrot & the little mouse that visits him frequently. Well worth a visit when in Halifax…

He has his own web cam so you can see him whenever you feel like logging in. All in all it is worth a look especially since it is not expensive to get in.…

Halifax is nothing if not the essence of a martime city. This museum is not too expensive, and offers a number of interesting exhibits, outlining the history of Halifax, and its relation to the sea. It's well worth an hour or two of your time.
